With ETH’s value reaching $1,500 recently and as we approach its first anniversary on January 1st 2018, it was inevitable that more people would be interested in mining to make a quick buck from the coin.
The “mining graphics card” is a type of computer hardware designed for the sole purpose of mining cryptocurrencies. The SAPPHIRE GPRO X060 and X080 Mining Cards have been spotted, with their release date set at September 18th.

The GPRO X060 and X080, two new crypto mining GPUs from SAPPHIRE, have been sighted abroad. It’s not the first time a SAPPHIRE graphics card for mining has been seen in the open; in August, a dual-GPU Radeon RX 570 was discovered. The new RDNA 2 cards place a higher priority on power efficiency and performance. For power supply, both employ the PCIe 4.0 interface and a single 8-pin connection.

The two-slot, dual-fan GPRO X080 offers 38 MH/s at roughly 165 watts TGP, but when tweaked further, it can achieve 41.5 MH/s at 93 watts. This Navi 22 GPU has 2,304 stream processors running at 2,132 MHz and 10 GB of GDDR6 memory at 16 Gbps. There is no visual output on this mining device, and the operating system is labeled as Linux exclusively.

The two-slot GPRO X060 is rated at 27 MH/s at roughly 100 watts TGP, but with little tweaking, it might reach 29.4 MH/s at around 60 watts TGP. This Navi 23 XL GPU has 1,792 steam processors running at 1,744 MHz and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory running at 14 Gbps. Unlike the X080, the X060 has 1x DP and 1x HDMI for display output, as well as Windows 10 and 11 compatibility. It’ll set you back 550 euros.
Both cards’ packaging is classified as bulk, implying that purchasers will need to purchase bigger amounts to get them.
