AMD, the company that makes the graphics processors used in PC gaming systems, is releasing a new driver update for its Radeon graphics processors. The new driver, Adrenalin 21.7.2, has been released and brings a number of bug fixes and optimizations.
AMD released a new Radeon Software Adrenalin Adrenalin 21.7.2 driver. This new driver is mostly a bug fix release for those who are experiencing issues with Radeon hardware. To fix all the known issues, AMD has released new driver packages for Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.
The Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.7.2 Driver is AMD’s latest WHQL-certified graphics driver for the Microsoft Windows operating system. The Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.7.2 driver has been published by AMD. The new driver adds support for Chernobylite, The Farm 51’s science-fiction survival horror RPG, which will be released tomorrow on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, after its first release as an early access game on Steam and GOG on October 19, 2019. VK KHR copy commands2 and VK EXT extended dynamic state2 are two new Vulkan extensions supported by AMD’s Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.7.2 driver.

Issues that have been resolved
- The AMD Radeon Software Game Compatibility Advisor may erroneously inform certain users that their CPU and/or GPU do not satisfy the minimal requirements to play certain games. - If a Blue or Black screen appears on a mobile device, deactivate Enhanced sign-in for the time being.
- In the first objective of Resident Evil Village, AMD Radeon VII graphics devices may suffer an occasional program hang or TDR.
- When core isolation is enabled, a blue or black screen may appear after upgrading to the newest Radeon Software.
Issues that have been identified
- Driver timeouts may be experienced while playing a game & streaming a video simultaneously on some AMD Graphics products such as Radeon RX 500 Series Graphics.
- When recording in the H265/HEVC codec on certain AMD Graphics devices, such as the Radeon RX 6800XT, users may have trouble terminating a recording session in Open Broadcaster Software.
- When playing certain DirectX 11 games, such as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, with several monitors connected in extended mode, AMD Radeon Software may crash or become unusable.
- On certain AMD Graphics devices, such as the Radeon RX 6700 XT, playing Horizon Zero Dawn for a prolonged period of time may cause a driver timeout or a game crash.
- When activated on certain games and system settings, Enhanced Sync may result in a blank screen. As an interim solution, any users who are having problems with Enhanced Sync should deactivate it.
- On Radeon RX Vega series graphics devices, connecting two monitors with significant variations in resolution/refresh rates may create flickering.
- Extremely high and erroneous memory clock values may be reported by Radeon performance measurements and logging capabilities on occasion.
