The post I am writing is called “Daily Reset Thread [2021-08-12]”. It is a sort of mission statement, and it is meant to allow me to keep the “reset thread” alive — but not a dead thread, mind you — while I work on other projects. It’s also a way for me to catch up on things that I’ve neglected in the past.
For those who don’t know, I’ve rebooted the Game Dev Tycoon Dev Blog. I feel that the game has gone from a good game, to an interesting game, to a truly great game, and I want to share it with you. I’m going to be posting around here a bit, and I’ll be doing a few streams on my Twitch channel as well.
I am sure most of you are familiar with the Reset Thread concept in the D2 Discord. I’m not really sure how it started, but it seems to be flourishing. (I also don’t know how anyone can have the time, let alone the patience, to actually read this thread to the end every day. But, I digress…). Vanguard Modifiers of the Day
- Arc Singe: Arc damage from all sources rises significantly.
- Grenadier: Grenade abilities do much more damage and recharge much more quickly.
- Enemy melee strikes are considerably more strong, and radar is disabled during the blackout.
Override Modifiers on a Daily Basis
- Air Superiority: Flying units do more damage than ground troops.
- Denial: Taken Vandals call their shields much more often than other Vandals.
