The 2013 season has been a tremendous year for baseball fans with the addition of the MLB The Show franchise to the sports gaming world. This year’s entry, MLB The Show 21, was recently released for PS4 and XBOX One, and with it came a few new features. One of them was a new Field of Dreams Program that unlocks a 99 OVR Roberto Clemente along with a few other rewards.
We have been hard at work on an MLB The Show 21 Field of Dreams Program to unearth the best prospects from the game! Our vision is to give all players the opportunity to unlock 99 OVR Roberto Clemente, by creating a set of incentives and challenges for players to attain the 99 OVR player card.
Major League Baseball will visit the wonderful state of Iowa on August 12th. A unique Field of Dreams game will be held in the state. The Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees will face off in front of a cornfield, a reference to the 1989 film Field of Dreams. San Diego Studios has also created a special Field of Dreams player program in honor of the occasion, with the grand prize being a 99 OVR Signature series card of legendary Pirates outfielder Clemente, Roberto.
So, how are you going to finish this program? Let’s have a look at what you need to accomplish.
You must earn 100 points to finish this program. In a moment, we’ll go through how to achieve that goal, but first, have a look at the benefits of participating in this program:

Let’s have a look at how to get to 100 points. First and foremost, you should try to finish the Field of Dreams Showdown as well as the unique Conquest. The map for the special Field of Dreams Conquest is as follows:
Both the Showdown and the Conquest are worth 20 points, so if you finish both, you’ll be nearly halfway there.
After then, you should try to finish the 12 moments. Each one is worth 2 points, and completing all 12 will earn you 24 points and 4000 Stubs.
After then, it’s up to you to figure out how you’re going to get the remaining 36 points. You may try your luck in the Field of Dreams tournament. You’ll earn an extra 16 points if you win five games, but bear in mind that this is an online competition. It’s also only available for a short period. While the program will remain active after the event has ended, you will only be able to earn points until August 19.
Special online and offline assignments are also available. Here’s how each one is broken down:
- 10 Yankees Hits (Online) – 5 Points
- White Sox – 10 Strikeouts (Online) – 5 Points
- 5 points for 30 total bases with the Yankees.
- With the White Sox, 10 extra base hits equals 5 points.
- 6 Extra Base Hits – 5 Points with Awards players
- 5 points for 20 total bases with Milestone players.
- 5 points for 15 strikeouts with Signature or Prime players.
- Prime has a total of ten strikeouts. 5 points for Tom Henke
- 8 Award-Winning Hits (Gold Glove) 5 points for Brooks Robinson
- Milestone Felix Hernandez – 12 Strikeouts – 5 Points
