There are certain things you do in Valheim that let you test certain skills, such as cutting down trees, attacking with weapons, swimming, sprinting, and more.
The more often you perform an action, the higher its level will be and the more efficient the execution of these actions will be.
Using weapons will make you more proficient with them, while performing different types of moves will make it easier as you progress through the level.
How do you acquire skills?
There are many ways to improve your skills, depending on the skill you are focusing on, but most skills require only one action to improve, which you should repeat often.
For weapons, you can upgrade to a higher level depending on the type of weapon you use. For example, your sword skill increases if you use a sword-type weapon, or your knife skill increases if you use a knife-type weapon.
Movement skills are simple and increase with the frequency with which you perform different types of movements. For example, your sneaking skill increases if you sneak, or your jumping skill increases if you always jump.
The Walheim Experience System
Orientation at Walheim focuses primarily on improving the skills you have by doing activities that engage you.
Each time you use stamina for an action, the skill gains experience and eventually increases with the number of times you perform the action.
The more actions you perform, the faster the level rises, and you can gain many levels by repeating the actions if you have a lot of stamina.
All skills from Valheim
Below is a list of all the competencies present at Valheim and what they do, in addition they are aligned with each other.
Weapons Expertise
When you attack these weapons, their individual skill increases depending on the type of weapon you use, so you do more damage to that particular weapon depending on its level.
- Assen
- Incandescent bulbs
- Associations
- Knife
- Pickups
- Weapons
- Spears
- Swords
- Unarmed
Each level increases the damage you inflict on a particular weapon.
Motor skills
These are the motor skills that have to do with the actions you perform when you move and that you gradually improve.
- Jumping – Increasing jump height
- Running – Improves speed and endurance while running.
- Sneak – Enhanced endurance and stealth efficiency
- Swimming – Reduction of endurance
Lock
- Blocking – Increases the amount of damage that can be absorbed when blocking with a shield or weapon.
Agriculture
Chopping wood – Improves the damage to the axe when chopping trees.
How can I improve my mobility skills?
It is easy to align movement skills by performing the movement skill while using endurance.
All you have to do is swim in the water, and you can do that and go back to shore to build up your stamina before starting again.
To improve your jumping technique, just jump, but don’t try to do it when your stamina is up, because that doesn’t help much.
The “Sneak” option is updated every time you sneak, whether there are enemies around or not, and you can do this while performing other actions to update it.
Running often balances itself, but you can balance faster if you run until your endurance is exhausted, by resting and repeating.
How do you learn to deal with weapons?
The more you use your weapon, the more advanced it will become. This often happens when you fight enemies and also when you swing and hit objects such as trees and rocks.
As long as you do damage (even 0), your weapon skills gain experience and then move to the next level.
The misconception that many players have is that hitting trees that require bronze and stronger axes will give experience, this does not work and is not recommended.
If you are concentrating on a particular set of weapons, it is best to use them consistently or concentrate on one weapon to increase the damage you do with it.
How do you align the block?
You can block your opponent’s attacks with your weapon or shield, but this must actually block or parry the attack and consume stamina.
Successfully blocking an attack adds experience to your blocking skill, so the more attacks you block, the faster you raise your skill level.
A good way to increase your blocking level is to go to some weak enemies, such as the Gray Dwarves, and have them attack you while you hold the shield.
The “no harm, no foul” trick.
If you want to concentrate on tuning your main weapon, you can easily do so without enemies as you gain experience hitting trees or rocks.
All you have to do is get close to a rock or a tree and swing your weapon to destroy it. However, do not try to do this with an axe if you are using wood, as you would definitely cut the tree.
If you want to level an axe, you can use a stone instead so it doesn’t break, and you can level an axe without having to move.
Judgment
It is very easy to improve your skills, but it can take some time to reach the higher levels, and it can be annoying if you try to maximize a skill early on.
Having a place to upgrade your skills is a good trick to maximize their use, and frequently repairing your weapons before you go out is a good way to make sure you can use them.
Remember that your character will not only be stronger because of the items you possess, but also because of your skill level.
