Apple Unveils New ARM-Based iMac and iPad Pro Models with M1 Chip

At its Spring Loaded event held today, Apple announced the latest additions to its growing family of ARM-based M1 chips: the iMac and iPad Pro. Apple’s new iMac reportedly offers 85% faster CPU performance and 2x faster GPU performance compared to the older 21.5-inch model, while the new iPad Pro reportedly offers 50% faster CPU performance and 40% faster GPU performance compared to its Bionic-based A12Z predecessor. The new iMac with 7-core GPU ($1,299), 11-inch iPad Pro with Wi-Fi + Cellular ($799), 11-inch iPad Pro with Wi-Fi + Cellular ($999), 12.9-inch iPad Pro with Wi-Fi + Cellular ($1,099) and 12.9-inch iPad Pro with Wi-Fi + Cellular ($1,299) will be available for order at Apple.com starting Friday, the 30th. April.
