Forza Horizon 4 was a huge hit for Microsoft, selling over 10 million copies. Fans have been waiting for a Horizon game for a while, and after Forza Motorsport 7 failed to live up to expectations, they were left to wait for the game to come out. Fast forward to August 2018, and the next installment of Forza is here. For anyone who has played the franchise before, the wait has been long, but worth it.

The entire map for Forza Horizon 5, the fifth edition of Playground Games’ open-world racing series, has been unveiled. It seems to be enormous.

As creative director Mike Brown pointed out in the most recent episode of Let’s Go! The map in Forza Horizon 5 is 50 percent bigger than that of Forza Horizon 4. Forza Horizon 5 will transport players to epic settings inspired by Mexico’s varied landscapes. Forza Horizon 4 was set in a fictionalized Great Britain, while Forza Horizon 5 will transport players to epic surroundings inspired by Mexico’s diverse landscapes.

In Forza Horizon 5, players will be able to race across 11 different and distinctive biomes. Canyon, Tropical Coast, Farmland, Arid Hills, Jungle, Living Desert, Rocky Coast, Sand Desert, Swamp, Urban City of Guanajuato, and Volcano are among them, with the latter serving as the game’s highest point. This is the only place in the game where players will see snow.

Forza Horizon 5 will use a variety of contemporary technologies like as HDR, ray tracing, and even ray-traced audio to create a racing experience unlike any other, as indicated in the numerous gorgeous trailers and gameplay snippets that Playground Games has shared with Forza fans so far. (Ray tracing seems to be exclusive to Forza Horizon 5’s Forzavista mode, which enables users to display their vehicle collections in a virtual home environment.)

On November 9, Forza Horizon 5 will be launched on the Xbox One X|S and Windows 10 platforms. The game will also be accessible via Xbox Game Pass; members who buy the Premium Add-Ons Bundle will be able to try it out as part of an Early Access program starting November 5.

You’ll be immersed in the wide world of Horizon like never before, with 4K 30 FPS on Xbox Series X (1080p 30 FPS on Xbox Series S) with an optional 60 FPS performance level and ray tracing introduced to vehicles in Forzavista.
