Complete list of levels for the Hero Wars
With nearly 50 unique heroes in the game and more being added all the time, all with their own skills and play style, it can be hard to know which heroes to invest your resources in and build your team around.
That’s why we created this list of Hero Wars levels to give you an idea of the potential of each hero in the game.
We believe that by using this list of levels, you have a good chance of using your resources more efficiently and therefore getting through the game faster.
This list classifies each hero of Hero Wars into levels S, A, B, C or D.
When choosing heroes for your team, there are other factors to consider besides hero level – find out more in our guide to team development.
Here is a brief description of what each level represents.
Level S – Level S heroes are the best in the game. All of these heroes are great for any team and will definitely help you advance quickly in the game. It’s a good idea to take an S-level hero from your team and dedicate resources to it.
Level – A-level heroes show exceptional performance in battle. You can use heroes of this level in your team for a long time with great confidence and without problems. Some combinations of heroes of this level may even outperform some heroes of S level.
Level B – Level B heroes behave as you would expect from a normal hero. They are not exceptionally strong, but they are not weak either. B-level heroes will be good for a while, but you have to replace them eventually.
Level C – Level C heroes are not very powerful, but can be used early in the game. However, we don’t recommend spending a lot of resources on C-level heroes because you’ll want to replace them quickly.
Level D – Level D heroes are well below average in terms of strength and potential. You should replace these heroes as soon as possible, and you should definitely not spend a lot of money on them.
Heroes with a + next to their rank are even stronger or more useful than their assigned rank.

The best tank heroes
Tank heroes are a great addition to any team, as they provide great protection and prevent your damage dealers and supports from being taken out early in a fight.
Many tank heroes also have crowd management or support skills.
Here are some of the best tank heroes in Hero Wars.
Astaroth
If your team is struggling to deal enemy damage, Astaroth is one of the best additions you can make to your team.
Astaroth only has one skill that deals damage, but he has incredible dancing skills.
First, his shield, the Veil of Fire, protects the entire team from heavy physical damage.
Additionally, his passive skill Demonic Link allows Astaroth to take a large percentage of the hero’s damage with the least amount of health remaining and even with reduced speed.
Finally, Astaroth can use his Last Word to revive a fallen ally once per battle, including himself, which is an incredible advantage in combat.
Scheider
Tankiness, control, and damage are what Cleaver adds to your team.
Cleaver has two control skills, both of which deal damage.
The first is Rusty Hook, who draws an opponent to himself, protecting the rest of your team from that hero.
His other control skill is maiming, which damages and stuns an entire area in front of him.
In addition to his useful skills, Cleaver also has high stats, especially his defense, making him an incredible tank.
The best offensive heroes
Teams without offensive heroes can sometimes run into trouble because they just don’t have enough damage.
Assault heroes generally have lower defense and no assist capabilities, but one thing they do have is damage.
Here are some of the best offensive heroes in Hero Wars.
Christa
Krista is a powerful mage with a large number of spells that do a lot of damage.
With her stats and skills, she deals a lot of damage in battle, making her a fantastic addition to your team when you need more damage.
Krista is best paired with Lars, as he can activate the characters Krista leaves for enemies with some skill.
Zhu
Another great attacking hero in War of Heroes is Zhu, a sniper with abilities that improve his distance attack.
His You Won’t Stop Me skill significantly increases his attack speed and makes him invulnerable when active.
His other abilities revolve around the same play style, as he has a skill that allows him to do real damage, another that increases his attack power and causes him to focus on enemies within range, and finally a skill that heals him.
Also, Zhu has excellent offensive stats, but like many offensive heroes, he lacks a bit on the defensive side.
Best Hero Supporting Role
Support heroes are often underestimated by players because they usually don’t deal much damage and are very sneaky.
However, some of the heroes in the crowd can add a lot to the team with their useful skills.
So if you’re stuck or want to optimize your team, consider adding supporting heroes to your team.
Here are some of the best secondary characters in the game.
Jørgen
When it comes to support and helpfulness, Jorgen is definitely a hero to consider if that’s what you’re looking for in your team.
Not only can he summon the Skull, which prevents affected enemies from regaining energy for a certain amount of time, but he also has the ability to steal energy from an enemy and place a shield on an ally, which also restores that hero’s energy in half the time.
Finally, Jorgen can cast a powerful curse on the enemy hero from behind, allowing you to quickly take out the weakest targets on the enemy team.
Martha
If you’re not looking for a pure supporting hero, Martha is a good choice for your team.
It combines the two and is a support.
Martha’s first skill, Oath of Granny, increases the speed of her allies by 240%, but her strength lies in her healing totem, which can only be destroyed by AoE attacks.
Also, Martha can heal herself, which makes her even harder to take down given her pathetic stats.
