The new Intel i9-9900K has been on the market for a few weeks now, and we have looked at its performance in various games. The new i9-9900K is a tweaked version of the i9-9900K that squeezes 8 cores into a smaller, more efficient package. This is a very fast processor, and it’s a strong competitor for the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X.
The new Intel Core i9-9900K has been tested against the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and found to be a strong performer. The new Core i9-9900K has the same base and boost clock speeds, despite the higher clock speeds of the i9-9900K. However, it does seem to have a disadvantage compared to the Ryzen 9 5950X in the uses of memory.
Intel has announced two new sets of processors, the Core i9-9900K and Core i7-9800K, which are aimed at high-end users who want the fastest computer possible. The new processors are the successors to the Core i7-8700K and Core i5-9600K, which were launched back in April. The i9-9900K has 8 cores and 16 threads, while the i7-9800K has 6 cores and 12 threads. The i9-9900K is purported to be 25% faster than the i7-8700K, and 20% faster than the i5-9600K.. The Core i9-12900K is Intel’s next flagship processor, a “Alder Lake-S” CPU with a unique architecture that combines tiny and large cores. New benchmark results for a qualifying sample of the widely awaited chip have surfaced, indicating that the final device will perform well against today’s flagships.
The Core i9-12900K scored 1,575 on the PugetBench After Effects 0.93.2 test using an ASUS ROG Strix Z690-E motherboard and 64 GB of 4,800 MHz memory, as shown on Puget Systems’ benchmark site before it was taken down. The Ryzen 9 5950X scored 1,581 in the same test, which is only a smidgeon behind than AMD’s flagship. The Core i9-12900K also outperformed Intel’s current “Rocket Lake-S” flagship, the Core i9-11900K, which only received a score of 1,548.
The total score is broken down further, indicating that Intel’s Core i9-12900K will eventually outperform AMD’s 16-core equivalent. The RAM Preview Score and Render Score for Intel’s Core i9-12900K were 138 and 137.7, respectively, while the RAM Preview Score and Render Score for AMD’s Ryzen 9 5950X were 133.5 and 131.8, respectively. The Zen 3 option, on the other hand, had a better tracking score (209.1 vs. 196.9).
As previously stated, the Core i9-12900K utilized in this test was just a qualifying sample. Following appropriate BIOS and OS support, the finished chip is virtually likely to provide improved performance.
