Nintendo’s newest game, ‘Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’, has received tons of fanfare and is projected to be the new Nintendo Switch Online’s biggest seller in history. Unfortunately, some players are not happy with how expensive it currently is on their platform (Xbox Live).
The Nintendo Switch Online expansion pack has come and gone, but the video didn’t get many fans. Fans felt that it had too much focus on monetization and not enough playtime or information about what we can expect in regards to online multiplayer.Nintendo debuts a trailer for their new online service, which would allow people to play games together without the need of physical consoles. This announcement was met with mixed reactions from gamers, who are not convinced that it will match up to other similar programs like PS Now or Xbox Game Pass. The “most disliked youtube video” is a trailer for the Nintendo Switch Online service. The video has received over 100,000 dislikes, making it the most disliked video on YouTube ever.

Nintendo’s new Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription package seems to be unpopular. That’s according to the reaction to Nintendo’s Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack – Overview Trailer, which has racked up over 100,000 dislikes (but only 17,000 likes) since its release on October 15. The Metroid Prime: Federation Force trailer from E3 2015 was Nintendo’s previous worst performance (96,000 dislikes vs. 11,000 likes).
Nintendo says this about their Expansion Pack membership plan:
You may play a selection of Nintendo 64 games as well as old SEGA Genesis classics in addition to all the other perks of a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. In addition, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise DLC will be included at no extra cost.
Nintendo fans seem to be dissatisfied with the Expansion Pack membership since it can only be purchased as part of a costly yearly agreement by individuals and families. Individual memberships cost $49.99 for a year, which is much more than the usual $19.99 subscription.
Expansion Pack owners have also begun posting pictures and videos on social media, implying that the Switch’s N64 ports aren’t all that fantastic. Fog, draw distances, and water textures look to be poorer on the Switch than on the original N64 and Wii U virtual console versions of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
