Recommended weapon
We are big supporters of the Gallo SA12 shotgun in Zombies. When upgraded and combined with the accessories, it is one of the most powerful weapons in the game. When you pick it up and increase the damage level, it proves to be a powerful weapon even with larger shots.
The epic SMG Bullfrog Stage can be purchased early in the Pack-a-Punch building as an alternative to the shotgun. It is located at the top of the stairs and in the room to the right of the vending machine and costs just over 3,000 points. While we have our reservations about using Bullfrog after turn 30 or so, obtaining it before turn 10 is a huge benefit to you and allows you to collect backups without having to raise the damage levels of the weapons for a while.
RAI-K84
Apart from the standard weapons, we highly recommend the purchase of the wonder weapon RAI-K84. You can build it, get it in the mystery box or receive it as a trial reward (more on this later). There is no Ray Gun in the Z shooting base, but this weapon is a very good alternative. The main fire is similar to the Ray Gun, but it is automatic and has an alternate pre-fire that can be hit by normal shots to create a shockwave explosion. The resulting explosion is ideal for slowing down enemies, taking out hordes, and inflicting heavy damage on Mimics and Manglers. If you are looking for big shots, the RAI-K84 is a must.
Easter egg
There is a secret in Pack-a-Punch’s engine room that is easily accessible and so useful that we recommend doing it at the beginning of every game. This Easter egg takes you to the Black Ether and ends with a great reward for you and your teammates. Shoot three rabbits and a chest will appear rewarding you with free Juggernaut Perks, rescue gear, equipment and sometimes weapons up to and including the RAI-K84.
Tests
If you teleport to Firebase, there is a test station on the right when you arrive at the heliport. It works in the same way as in The Machine, where you pay points to start the challenge and can increase your reward level until it’s aired. We highly recommend starting these challenges as soon as possible, once the prize is awarded. The top rewards are almost always either the free RAI-K84 or bonuses. There is also a chance for epic-level, pack-a-punched weapons.
Whatever you get, the rewards are lucrative and earn you points at the beginning of the game. The only challenge that can be difficult is rebuilding the barriers, as there are not many on the map. Other than that, everything is very doable and you can get the materials you need much faster than you normally would.
Good rail yards
Fire Base Z is a map with many useful platoon locations. Training is the vocabulary needed to command a horde of zombies and group them together to kill them faster. Our favorite place for this is the heliport. As the zombies multiply, you have plenty of maneuvering options to get around them, and if you run into trouble, you can jump on nearby crates to slow their pursuit. There are also four different exits between the three doors and the transporter.
After the helipad, the barracks are an ideal place to train. Running between the buildings is a great way to get rid of the zombies chasing you, and you can quickly run into the Burnt Defence or Helipad if things go wrong.
Finally, apart from the defensive rounds, the path taken by the zombies in the Jungle Defense is a very wide field that is ideal for gathering a group of zombies. Here there are almost no structures to face, but also no resources to exploit, so you need to come equipped now.
Kill imitators, Ugglers, Hellhounds and the Horde.
This group of monsters are the “special” enemies you’ll encounter throughout Firebase Z. The mimics and embers appear very regularly in the first game, but have obvious weaknesses that we have already covered. The Gallo SA12 and the RAI-K84 are probably the best weapons to take them out quickly. Although tons of these enemies appear on the map, they provide ammo and armor to the dead, making them a good target when both are scarce.
Hellhounds begin their natural breeding on the map at turn 25. There is no dog ammo at the Z Fire Base, so you will never get “Bring Me Their Souls” cartridges that reward maximum ammo at the end. Those hellhounds will run at you and explode into a fireball, leaving a burning stain that will eventually injure you. As before, hellhounds are easy to kill, but sometimes it’s better to let them explode behind you as you run away.
Finally, the Horde is the final boss of the big Easter ice, appearing in the defense towers from turn 30. When these rounds are over, the normal horde of zombies will try to extinguish itself, but the giant horde will now be in the background, slowly advancing. Its attacks consist of shooting hellhounds and a group of insects that eventually do some damage.
You can drop the cluster as soon as it comes to a stop. When fighting the horde, you want to hit them from a distance. If you have a ring of fire, activate it and fire. If it opens its mouth, shoot, as it does more damage. RAI-K84’s main fire is perfect for this fight.
Election Results
As in The Machine, some bombers, such as the Gunner Helicopter, can save you if you activate them and they are built at the shipbuilding table. However, with the Z Firebase, three new jobs have been added. The Napalm Strike, Artillery and Cruise Missiles are all new and if they can be built, they can also be obtained on defensive fire in the terminals you are defending. The first purchase at each point is always free, after that they cost 8000 points.
Of the three new routes, we prefer the Cruise Rocket. Like the combat helicopter, the zombies will ignore you if you activate it, giving you a chance to save yourself in a difficult situation. After that, the artillery is ideal for taking out a large group. The napalm blast made us want to know a little more. It’s not great, but compared to the other two, we prefer it.
Using the village
Our final tip for people who want to survive higher rounds in Firebase Z is to enjoy the village where you start the game. For some, you might think there’s not much else to do but Pack-a-Punching. However, the Wunderfizz machine is right next to Pack-a-Punch and can give you power-ups that don’t even exist on the map, including Deadshot Daiquiri and Elemental Pop. You can also buy all the other power-ups here. So if you have a lot of points and want to get bonuses quickly, go here to get them right away.
There is also an arsenal here. If there are no teammates around, this can be a good place to train zombies in the yard and buildings. However, it is a little more dangerous than the places we recommended above.
Frequently asked questions
Why does Black Ops’ Cold War look so bad?
After the opening of Black Operators Cold War, players found that all these graphical advances were a step backward. Distant objects on the maps looked blurry, and the game itself looked more like a cartoon than a realistic game like Modern Warfare. … That’s mostly because the game didn’t work as well on PC and console.
What is the best weapon to use in Black Ops?
Ray Gun (Porter X2 Ray Gun) The Cold War zombie mode of Black Ops offers some tasty options to hit with. Our best options to throw at it are the M16, the Gallo SA12 shotgun, the ray gun (if you’re lucky enough to get it from the mystery box) and the knife.
Will Black Ops be safe from the “Cold War”?
The robots in Call of Duty: Cold War Black Options are back in the “Cold War Black Options” mode, albeit with minor limitations. Players will still have to add bots individually. (Although a new feature called Autofill Bots has been added, which automatically adds bots to the selected team, this can be done in the bot settings).
