If you are looking for new poses to try with your Sim, check out these pose packs! They have some really great ones.
Heartbreak is a natural part of life.
You need the downs to balance out all of your ups; otherwise, you won’t appreciate your ups as much.
That’s what I’ve been told.
In any case, there are few things in this world that can inflict the type of anguish that a nasty surprise breakup does.
As you would expect, I’m here to provide you with several graphic alternatives for replaying this in The Sims 4.
Would we truly be Simmers if we didn’t take advantage of every opportunity to capture all the drama?
1. talentedtrait’s Tearless on Sunset Street
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
The pack claims to be tearless, but believe me when I tell there are plenty of tears here.
Take a look behind the scenes.
Maybe.
Anyway, this emotive collection of four stances nicely represents a less-than-pleasant breakup.
As is, one-half of the couple probably had no idea what was about to happen.
Aside from the sad backstory, the stances are stunning.
There is no height difference, it is unisex (the developer uses two Female models, and I tested it with both a Male and a Female), and it is very clearly indicated on the in-game posture list.
Each iteration is labeled with phrases like “sad,” “angry,” and so on, so you know which Sim you’re putting in which stance.
2. clumsyalienn’s Meant to Be Yours Posepack
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
These postures aren’t offered as a break-up set explicitly.
But what about the intensity of the scenes? It’s unmistakably on its way there.
Listen, you don’t just slam your partner’s door in exasperation and demand that they speak to you without major consequences.
Perhaps it’s just me…
The Designed to Be Yours posture set by Clumsyalienn includes a number of pair poses, all of which are meant to take place with a door between them.
Simply place two teleporters in the center of the door and you’re good to go.
The positions, on the other hand, aren’t particularly stated in the in-game list. However, after trying them out, I concluded that Pose B is for the person who is knocking on the door. Pose A is for the Sim who is huddled miserably on the other end of the line.
3. josiesimblr’s Please Comfort Me Pose Pack
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
The pose pack’s title also doesn’t state “break up.”
However, one of the stances says, “I can’t believe this is over,” thus…
I’ve made my case.
(The other two stances feature in-game descriptions that are just as useful, such as “you have to listen” and “I don’t want to hear this.”) Thank you very much to the creator for doing so.)
Josiesimblr has created a short, (bitter)sweet, and easy position pack for two Sims that are having a difficult time.
For what it’s worth, the Sim who seems to be calling it quits is doing all they can to console their now-ex-partner.
It’s kind and considerate, with lingering feelings of warmth.
Is it possible that I’m reading too much into this? Maybe.
Regardless, it’s a fantastic set.
4. lilbee’s Don’t Leave Us Poses
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
However, this is more of an unclear dispute than a formal breakup. Well. The Sim who is being embraced does not seem to be influenced any time soon.
Indeed, they seem to have made up their minds, and no amount of embracing or wailing will alter that.
A random bonus pose – in Korean – for two Sims covertly viewing the train catastrophe that is their friends’ relationship is also included at the end.
You’re aware. Just in case it fits into your story.
These six postures are supposed to be performed against a solid barrier.
The inventor has it set up against a bookcase, but it should work just as well against a wall or door.
5. cazmari-mods’ Real Talk Pt. 1
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
Oof. Is there anything more aggravating than trying to have a rational adult discussion while you’re upset?
No, I don’t believe so.
This profoundly conversational stance (one of two!) by cazmari-mods nicely depicts a quieter, sadder kind of split.
There will be no shouting, throwing of things, or calling people names.
Just an adult conversation about why the two are no longer compatible.
Is it a little less dramatic? Sure.
Is it less painful? Certainly not.
I remarked in my previous assessment of this pack that it had rom-com, falling-out-of-love-story vibes.
That is a description I truly believe in.
These aren’t the emotions and behaviors of two Sims who are eager to continue.
6. cazmari-mods’ Real Talk Pt. 2
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
The posture pack is different, but the creator is the same, and the sorrowful scenario is the same.
You’ll have to search elsewhere if you want to represent the type of breakup when emotions are running high and passionate outbursts are the norm.
Because, like the first half, this installment of cazmari-mods’ Real Talk pose pack gleams with calm, silent agony.
Basically, it’s subdued sorrow, as seen by the models’ expressions.
This set includes 9 sad-but-mature stances.
Half of them will need a sofa or loveseat (like with the previous pack), but the other half will be able to complete the task standing up.
I could write a whole essay about how high-quality the postures are, but I’ll let the teaser photographs speak for themselves.
7. joannebernice’s Proposal Rejection Poses
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
Is it possible for a couple to remain together when a proposal is turned down?
No?
If that’s the case, this is a terrific break-up pack if I’ve ever seen one. Or, at the very least, it’s a requirement for one.
One of the Sims is even walking away in the final stance.
But, hey, whatever. At the very least, they lowered the other Sim gently, right?
They have a regretful look on their faces. So compliments to the author — the emotions are incredibly strong in this piece.
I couldn’t discover the same ring accessory used by the artist (and they didn’t link to it), so I settled with this engagement ring box.
8. eslanes’ Break-Up Make-Up Redux
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
This is the breakup posture pack that will put all other breakup position packs to shame.
It features the kind of enraged, gritty, and uber-dramatic situations that we see in movies.
This relationship has clearly come to an end, and it has ended horribly. Any effort to “discuss it” has devolved into screaming battles and full-fledged disputes.
Storytelling This is for Simmers who like stressful, emotional, and tear-jerking situations.
I won’t go into detail about how well-modeled and precise the stances are. Don’t get me started on the facial expressions.
Just be aware that there are ten couple poses in all. There is no variation in height, no labeling, and no thumbnails.
The Sims are simply numbered according to their poses in this set. Based on the preview photographs, I worked out that Sim 1 is the Female model in every posture and Sim 2 is the Male.
Pose 8 will also need a door between the two (simply put both teleporters in the center), while Poses 9 and 10 will require a couch or loveseat.
9. Andromeda Sims’ Keep Me in Your Arms
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
This collection is described as “sad couple postures” by the designer, which tells you all you need to know.
We’re coming down from eslanes Break-Up Make-Up Redux’s (angry) high, and we’re wallowing in the misery.
But don’t be fooled by all the negative adjectives in this text.
These unique stances are stunning.
It’s got it all: the facial expressions, the postures, and the raw feelings.
You’ll have a hard time keeping your Screenshots folder organized; I took around a dozen photographs of each stance. It’s simply that they’re that excellent.
Each of the ten stances has its own thumbnail and height difference in the game.
However, in the tenth posture set, the M and F designations are messed up.
So, in #10, Pose F is for the Male model, while Pose M is for the Female model. I hope that was clear!
10. Pose Pack: Don’t Tell Me I Don’t Love You (Pt. 2) Sim-plyreality was created by sim-plyreality.
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
Part two of sim-Tell plyreality’s Don’t Me I Don’t Love You pose set continues the tradition of acrimonious parting situations.
It’s heavy, it aches, and it’s most likely the result of a misunderstanding-filled breakup.
Actually, the author has a very great narrative for these positions spelled out in the description, so I’d suggest reading that if you want more information.
Even if your Sims’ stories don’t precisely match theirs, the stances are adaptable enough to work in almost any complicated situation.
There are a total of eight couple poses with no height difference and thumbnails in-game.
Each stance is also clearly labeled as Male or Female, however I believe the poses are adaptable enough to be unisex.
11. Sad by atashi77: Stolen Kisses
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
When you don’t want to end your relationship but your partner insists on it. They also make some excellent reasons about why you should split up. So, in the end, you agree.
But, since you’re such an emotional mess, you beg for one more kiss before you part ways.
Isn’t it a little too specific?
I may or may not have once or twice dragged my Sims through a similar story.
But I didn’t have these stances with me at the time to capture the occasion.
By the way, there are six of them, and they’re all wonderfully crafted (if you ignore the heartbreak aspect).
If you want to, I guess, enhance the suffering, the author even inserts cosmetic tears.
(All joking aside, the tears are indeed rather lovely.)
12. Sim-Breakup plyreality’s Pose Pack
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
Another one of the uncommon packets on our list, this one was billed as a split up pack.
And it’s created by sim-plyreality, who, as you’ve surely seen, is a fantastic custom pose maker.
These 11 stances don’t exactly convey the most gracious of goodbyes, but the drama factor is undeniable. It’s extremely delicious.
There’s a lot of ranting, some emotional outbursts, a lot of guilt-stricken tears, and even a desperate back embrace, in my opinion.
This is the kind of thing you see in corny rom-coms and slice-of-life Netflix series because the public loves it.
Regarding the pack’s technical elements, the designer deserves praise for properly marking the postures F or M. It’s a lot simpler to allocate them now.
13. Luna Sims’ Posepack: Don’t Be Sad
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
I’m not sure whether these stances were meant to indicate a breakup or simply a temporary relationship hiccup by the author.
However, they didn’t mention any type of story, so I made up my own.
This pack seems to be building up to a heartbreaking “we’re done” moment.
Before the storm, there’s a period of stillness. The road that leads to an unavoidable division.
Look at the final stance; that is unmistakably a farewell kiss.
The posture list thumbnails in-game are color-coded. They’re also labeled with a brief summary of each model’s thoughts and feelings. So, based on the sample photographs, it should be simple to figure out which posture to give to which Sim.
There’s no discernible difference in height, so you may probably mix and match the models (i.e., two Male models, two Female models, etc.). But don’t take my word for it when I claim it’s unisex; try it out for yourself and see what you can come up with.
When I tried them, I meticulously replicated the previews.
14. Sim-Please plyreality’s Don’t Leave Me Pose Pack
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
This pack was supposedly created for “a couple that is splitting up and the guy is asking the female not to go,” according to the author.
It’s a really simple explanation for a group of positions that seem to be emotionally complicated based on the previews.
Even after testing them in-game, I’m still not sure who is the most affected by this breakup.
There’s no denying that the male model is distressed. He’s completely curled up on the sofa.
But the Female model’s reactions are just as, if not more, distressing.
She’s made it apparent that she doesn’t want to go through this.
If your Sims have a similar sad story, believe me when I say that this posture set is ideal.
15. Atashi77’s Sad Hugs
Take a Look At This Pose Pack
If the Sims featured in the teaser photographs seem familiar to you, it’s because the author is supposedly a huge #reylo fan.
(And, based on their description, I believe we can all agree that the majority of the Star Wars characters deserved better.)
Aside from the sci-fi fantasy nerdiness, this pose set is unique.
It’s so well-made that it’s almost uncomfortable to look at.
The raw emotions, facial expressions, body language, and physical postures are almost flawless.
The unhappiness that is simply covering the relationship is palpable.
These embracing positions are painful even without the Star Wars background.
It doesn’t help that I’m five times sadder because of the built-in height disparity. I just wanted to share.
The “sims 4 break up poses” is a pack of free poses for Sims 4. The pack contains three different poses that are all available to download for free from the game’s website.
