CD PROJEKT RED has finally revealed information about its upcoming update for its problematic sci-fi RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, as part of an in-universe N54 News update with Night City presenter Gillean Jordan.
Patch 1.3 is intended to enhance the game’s mini-map and provide a reset option for perk trees, but it will also solve something amusing and unexpected: players having sex with the incorrect characters.
Clouds is a place in Cyberpunk 2077 that is located on the 12th level of the Megabuilding H8 in Japantown, Westbrook. This is a dollhouse that players visit early in the game to hunt down Evelyn Parker (the teal-haired girl above) in order to learn more about Arasaka’s Relic biochips.
Players are offered the option of having sex with either a male (Angel) or female (Skye) sex professional at some point throughout the mission. While this may seem to be a simple task, CD PROJEKT RED made it more complicated by giving both characters unisex names and not displaying their pictures on the screen long enough for players to figure out who they were selecting. It didn’t help that the names were arranged in the wrong sequence.
Following numerous memes on r/cyberpunkgame and other social media, CD PROJEKT RED fixed the problem in Patch 1.3 by keeping Skye and Angel’s pictures up until right before the dialog option so players know who they’re bedding.
CD PROJEKT RED has yet to announce a release date for Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.3, but the studio has promised that a complete list of modifications will be available shortly.
