Our latest thoughts on Call of Duty Vanguard…

The first thing I need to say about Vanguard is that it looks fantastic. The graphics are crisp and clean, the menus flow nicely, and there’s a level of polish on display that the Call of Duty franchise has rarely been known for. But there’s no denying that what made Vanguard such an interesting reveal was the new setting. It’s certainly not what we were expecting, but the change of scenery looks promising.

With the recent reveal of the Call of Duty Vanguard, we were given a peek inside the future of the franchise, and we felt it had some really cool features. We’ve been playing the game and we’d like to share our thoughts on it.. Read more about call of duty vanguard campaign and let us know what you think.

To begin, I believe that if Activision let its creators to put as much work into the actual games as they do in the presentations, they would have the best games ever created. The Call of Duty Vanguard unveiling is no exception. If only the buzz was true when the film was out. Anyway, let’s go into some of the information we’ve gleaned.

To begin with, Activision’s name was not mentioned throughout the presentation. If you’re wondering why, we believe it’s because Activision has recently been in hot water, and they don’t want the title’s excitement to be harmed by the name. It began with the words “Call of Duty Presents.” When has Call of Duty ever shown anything? Lol. That’s all right, Activision. Just keep lowering your heads as much as possible in the expectation that your problems would disappear. They won’t, but don’t give up hope.

Moving on, we’ve gained some insight into what’s to come. Reactive rooms, for example. When I say reactive room, I mean that everything in the building is intended to react to troops charging through, grenades exploding, or gunfire shredding furniture. Everything is intended to behave like it would in real life. That is, at least, my interpretation of it.

A new anti-cheat mechanism will be implemented into Vanguard and Warzone when the game launches on November 5th, causing some irritation as well as some good news. What’s good about this new anti-cheat system is that it’s aimed at PCs, which should help with a lot of the crossplay problems we’ve seen in the WZ. What’s even more irritating is that we’ll have to deal with a lot of cheating till then. Of course, cheaters will always find a way around, but let’s hope for a few months of minimum nonsense.

Before the game is released, there will be an open beta for everyone to play, but if you purchase the game, you will receive early access to the open beta. If you preorder a digital version for the console, you’ll also receive a few additional bonuses. Remember that if you want to participate in the early access portion of the beta, you may always purchase a hard copy from Amazon and then cancel your order if you don’t like the game or opt to go digital.

Call-of-Duty-Vanguard-Reveal-our-impressionsIn November, zombies will be added to the game. Treyarch will be in charge of zombie development, and it will serve as a prequel to the zombies seen in Black Ops Cold War. There are a lot of die-hard zombie fans that won’t play anything unless it was given to them by Treyarch in the first place, and this won’t divert devs’ attention away from the main game or multiplayer modes, so this might be a great move.

The game will take up about 100 GB of hard disk space. Maybe a bit less, but we’re going with 100 just to be safe. There was a report that the game would install at 270 gigabytes, however that has already been disproved. Although I believe we all know it’ll only be a matter of time until the game’s download size increases.

Overall, the game looks fantastic and makes a lot of promises that are likely to be broken, but as I previously said, if they put as much effort into the creation of the game as they do in the presentations, it will be one of the best games of all time. Unfortunately, after years of being duped, I no longer believe the hoopla. Am I looking forward to playing another Call of Duty game this year? I am, but not as enthusiastically as I once was. I’m sure I’ll become thrilled once I start playing, but for now, I’m simply treating everything with a grain of salt.
